The Whisky Bandit and company hit up Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2016 for Weekend One. Needless to say, the crew was not disappointed. Beautiful weather while poolside in Palm Springs, dosed with endless amounts of live music, good vibes and cameo celeb appearances made it an unforgettable weekend.
The festival’s origins trace back to a 1993 concert that Pearl Jam performed at the Empire Polo Club while boycotting venues controlled by Ticketmaster. The show validated the site’s viability for hosting large events, leading to the inaugural Coachella Festival being held in October 1999 over two days, just three months after the disastrous Woodstock ’99.
Coachella is one of the largest, most famous, and most profitable music festivals in the United States. The 2015 festival sold 198,000 tickets and grossed $84.3 million, both world records.
